Basketball Recap: Seaforth Piles Up the Points Against Jordan-Matthews

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Seaforth's strategy against Jordan-Matthews on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Seaforth Hawks blew the Jordan-Matthews Jets out of the water with a 71-36 final score. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Seaforth was led to victory by Declan Lindquist and Patrick Miller. Lindquist posted 15 points, while Miller had 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. The matchup was Lindquist's third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Emerson, who earned 13 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Seaforth was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Jordan-Matthews lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kamarie Hadley, who scored nine points and seven boards. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Rashaad McSwain was another key player, putting up no points along with five assists and five steals.

The victory got Seaforth back to even at 11-11. As for Jordan-Matthews, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.

Seaforth has already played their next game, a 78-33 win against Graham on the 12th. As for Jordan-Matthews, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 68-59 loss against Chatham Central on the 12th.
