There's no place like home for Hilltop, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Toledo Christian Eagles on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cadets also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Hilltop had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-28, 25-10, 25-23, 25-12.

Brynn Rodriguez paced Hilltop's offense, picking up 20 kills. Rodriguez got some help from Hayden JoHantgen and her 24 assists. Rodriguez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Hilltop's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Toledo Christian, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-13.

Hilltop has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Antwerp on the 22nd. Toledo Christian has also already played their next contest (against Hicksville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
