Brandon put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Madison Central Jaguars. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Dakota Davis made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Davis was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Chloe Jenkins and Hannah Jo Sullivan did most of the damage at the plate: Jenkins scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Sullivan scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance gave Jenkins a new career-high in runs.
Brandon's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Madison Central, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brandon will head out to take on North Pike at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Madison Central, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Madison Central Jaguars face off against Northwest Rankin Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwest Rankin will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Madison Central surely won't give up without a fight.
