Baseball Recap: Alameda Takes a Loss

Alameda and Valley squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Alameda had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 8-6. That makes it the first time this season the Pirates have let down their home crowd.

Hudson Judy made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple. That triple was his first of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Alameda and nudges their season record down to 19-4. As for Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-12 record this season.

Alameda does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valley, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-4 win against Colorado Academy on the 17th.
