Football Recap: Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears vs. Banning Pilots
Port of Los Angeles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Banning Pilots 40-8. Banning had a senior duo take command as Alina Argueta threw for 147 yards and five touchdowns and Kali Su'E picked up 34 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Those five passing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Argueta.
Port of Los Angeles' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Banning, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-5.
Port of Los Angeles will face off against Carson at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Banning has already played their next game, a 26-0 victory against Narbonne on the 14th.
