Basketball Recap: Harper Woods Comes Up Short

Harper Woods was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Mercy Marlins, falling 76-38. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 344th, while the Marlins are ranked 27th).

Harper Woods' loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Mercy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harper Woods will challenge Athens at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th. As for Mercy, they will take on Notre Dame Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
