Baseball Recap: New Albany Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

The matchup between New Albany and Central Crossing on Monday hardly resembled the 4-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Eagles put the hurt on the Comets with a sharp 20-3 victory. That 17 run margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

The win (which was New Albany's sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Central Crossing, they dropped their record down to 2-11-1 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home.

The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 3.4, the Panthers 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Central Crossing will challenge rival Westerville Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
