Baseball Recap: Tipton Comes Up Short

Tipton managed to slip by Mid-Prairie the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers lost 13-3 to the Golden Hawks on Thursday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Golden Hawks earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Tipton has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Mid-Prairie, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Tipton will face off against West Liberty at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers are facing the Comets at the right time seeing as the Comets are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Mid-Prairie, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-6 victory against Williamsburg on the 30th.
