Basketball Recap: Excel Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Excel Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 65-43 to Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy.

Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Leah Hall out in front who posted 29 points. Hall is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 22 or more in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season. Autumn Davis was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Excel Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Excel Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-14 defeat against Chattooga on the 14th. Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy has also already played their next game (against Georgia-Cumberland Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
