Softball Recap: Floresville Takes a Loss

Floresville was the 16-2 winner over Pearsall when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Floresville fell just short of Pearsall by a score of 3-2 on Friday.

Ava Cardenas was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Floresville has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Pearsall and bumps their season record up to 12-8-1.

Coincidentally, Floresville and Pearsall will both be playing Uvalde the next time they take the field. Pearsall will head out to face Uvalde at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Floresville will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
