Baseball Recap: Cortland's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Cortland came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Phoenix Firebirds, falling 11-2. The loss put an end to the Purple Tigers' undefeated start to the season.

Caden Albright made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cortland fell to 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cortland will take on Dryden at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Phoenix, they will be playing at home against Mexico at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
