It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Berea-Midpark ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They skirted past the Avon Lake Shoremen 5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Titans sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Berea-Midpark pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Avon Lake, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coming up, Berea-Midpark will head out to challenge Steele at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Avon Lake, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Elyria at 4:45 p.m. The Pioneers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something the Shoremen will no doubt try to take advantage of.
