Football Recap: Strong Performance on D from Ryan Smith and Sal Montes Leads Boone Grove over South Central

Boone Grove's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They secured a 27-23 W over the South Central Satellites. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Satellites: they've now won four in a row.

Boone Grove didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ryan Smith and Sal Montes.

When it comes to explaining why South Central lost, don't look at Rylon Rondo. Despite the final result, he rushed for 67 yards and one TD, and also threw for 179 yards and one touchdown on only 16 passes. A healthy portion of Rondo's aerial production (98 yards to be exact) went to Dylan Shively.

The win got Boone Grove back to even at 1-1. As for South Central, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.
