Football Recap: King Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for King's offense. They were outmatched by the Blake Yellow Jackets and fell 57-0. The Lions have struggled against the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

It was another big night for Eddie Mamudi, who threw for 250 yards and five TDs on only 17 passes, and also punched in one rushing score for Blake. What's more, Mamudi racked up 152.6 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Jadarian Collins was Mamudi's top target, picking up 85 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

King's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Blake, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3.

King didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 42-14 defeat against Robinson on the 10th. As for Blake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 57-0 victory against Brandon on the 10th.
