Greene Central saw some tournament action on Monday. They walked away with a 7-2 win over Bear Grass Charter. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Greene Central's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Will Radford, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Roanoke Rapids was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They fell 6-1 to Farmville Central. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Greene Central's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Roanoke Rapids, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Greene Central took their victory against Roanoke Rapids in their previous meeting back in April of 2019 by a conclusive 8-2 score. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Yellowjackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
