Baseball Recap: Avon Braves vs. Caledonia-Mumford Raiders

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wayland-Cohocton, Avon was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Caledonia-Mumford Raiders by a score of 7-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Braves also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2025.

Nick Fries made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Fries was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Levi Hann was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Brandon Hunt was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.
