Baseball Recap: Mason County Takes a Loss

Mason County managed to slip by Powell County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Royals lost 8-0 to the Pirates on Wednesday. The Royals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Mason County's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Powell County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mason County will challenge Fleming County at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Powell County, they will take on Bath County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
