Basketball Recap: Isaiah Scott-Palacios' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Greenwood Christian over Spartanburg Christian Academy

Greenwood Christian was the 68-44 winner over Spartanburg Christian Academy when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Greenwood Christian Hawks took a 57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartanburg Christian Academy Warriors.

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaiah Scott-Palacios, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points. Scott-Palacios' evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Kennedy, who posted nine points along with eight boards and seven assists.

Greenwood Christian's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-8. As for Spartanburg Christian Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-13.

While Greenwood Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
