Softball Recap: Callisburg Comes Up Short

Callisburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 14-2 to the Ponder Lions. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 16-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kaydin Gregory and Jai Leigh Partridge stepped up to the plate in a big way. Gregory scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2, while Partridge scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. That hit was Partridge's first of the season.

Callisburg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Ponder, their record now sits at 7-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Callisburg will square off against rival Paradise at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ponder is set to challenge their familiar foe Valley View at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
