Recap: Hauser Jets vs. Triton Central Tigers

The Hauser Jets struggled with assists on Thursday (the Triton Central Tigers had nine more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Hauser suffered a tough 61-38 defeat at the hands of Triton Central. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hauser in their matchups with Triton Central: they've now lost six in a row.

Hauser lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Haven Hartwell, who scored eight points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hartwell has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Braelyn Williams, who scored seven points.

Triton Central found their leader in underclassman Maryrose Felling, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. The game was Felling's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Quinn King, who scored 11 points along with eight assists and three steals.

Hauser has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Triton Central, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.

Hauser and Greenwood Christian Academy will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Greenwood Christian Academy is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Triton Central, they will take on Waldron at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Waldron will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 275th, while Triton Central is ranked 114th).
