Recap: Wayzata Trojans vs. Maple Grove Crimson
The Wayzata Trojans were the 60-56 winner over the Maple Grove Crimson when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Wayzata took a hard 68-50 fall against Maple Grove on Tuesday.
Wayzata's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kate Amelotte, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Katie Kelzenberg, who scored 14 points.
Wayzata's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Maple Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Wayzata will square off against Lakeville South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Maple Grove, they will head out on the road to face off against Champlin Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
