Soccer Game Preview: Crescenta Valley vs. St. Francis

The Crescenta Valley Falcons will head out to face off against the St. Francis Golden Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Crescenta Valley is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Notre Dame (SO) on Wednesday. Crescenta Valley fell just short of Notre Dame (SO) by a score of 2-1. The loss was the Falcons' first of the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Dylan Lee, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, St. Francis made sure to put some goals up on the board against Burroughs on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over the Bears. The result kept the Golden Knights happy, as they haven't lost a game yet this season.

St. Francis' win bumped their record up to 4-0-1. As for Crescenta Valley, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Crescenta Valley came up short against St. Francis in their previous meeting back in December of 2016, falling 2-0. Can Crescenta Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
