3A Region IV District 29 recap October 1, 2013
Pearsall moved up to 1,067 from 1,132 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 3A Region IV District 29. The Mavericks were able to move up by topping Poteet 41-14.
Carrizo Springs fell to Pleasanton 35-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Devine's Eric Trogden and Cody Trivino have proven to be a lethal combination. Trogden has thrown for 427 yards this season, while Trivino has 8 catches for 230 yards. The Wildcats' Freddie Longoria leads the league in rushing yards with 391.
Pearsall made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,633 from 13,835. The improvement was largely due to a 41-14 victory over the Aggies last week.
