Basketball Game Preview: Cherryville Ironmen vs. North Gaston Wildcats + How To Watch

Cherryville is 2-8 against North Gaston since November of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Having just played yesterday, the Ironmen will get right back to it and host the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Cherryville will be strutting in after a win while North Gaston will be coming in after a loss.

Cherryville is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Wednesday. They came out on top against NCSSM: Morganton by a score of 44-32. The Ironmen haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, North Gaston didn't have quite enough to beat West Lincoln on Tuesday and fell 46-44. The Wildcats were up 33-15 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Cherryville ended up a good deal behind North Gaston when the teams last played back in December of 2024, losing 55-36. Can the Ironmen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
