Volleyball Recap: Columbian Tornadoes vs. Mohawk Warriors        
        
		
             Columbian lost against Mohawk back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Saturday. The Columbian Tornadoes took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mohawk Warriors. The  game marked the Tornadoes' lowest-scoring  contest so far this season.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 9-25, 25-16,  25-23.
 When it comes to explaining why Columbian lost, don't look at  Emma Daugherty. Despite the final result, she  had ten  digs.
 Even though they lost, Columbian  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 11  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least five  aces in ten consecutive  matches.
 Mohawk was led to victory by  Anna Russell and  Averie Barth.  Russell  had nine  digs, while  Barth  had four  digs and four  aces. Barth is  on a roll when it comes to  aces, as she's  now  served two or more in the last six games she's  played dating back to last season.
 Columbian's defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 8-3. As for Mohawk, the  victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Ashland at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Mohawk, they will head out to  square off against Seneca East  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
