Basketball Recap: Eight Straight Home Victories for Friendswood

Friendswood had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They rang in the new year with a 53-40 win over the Santa Fe Indians. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Friendswood pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Santa Fe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Friendswood will face off against Angleton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Santa Fe, they will welcome Texas City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
