Softball Recap: Logan Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Logan barely beat Sky View the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Grizzlies put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 7-1 victory on Thursday. The Grizzlies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Cambree Cooper spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on seven hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Miley Allen, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Jayzanna Pauni was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

The win (which was Logan's third in a row) raised their record to 14-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Sky View, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.

Logan will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bobcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
