Basketball Recap: Croatan Cougars vs. Dixon Bulldogs
Croatan won the last time they faced Dixon and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Croatan Cougars breezed by the Dixon Bulldogs to the tune of 54-21. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 22 points or more this season.
Leading Croatan to victory were Layla Shearin and Landry Clifton. Shearin went 5 of 10 on her way to 16 points along with six rebounds and five assists, while Clifton posted eight points and nine boards. Shearin is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Neely McMannen was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.
