Softball Game Preview: Central Dauphin Rams vs. Penn Manor Comets

The Central Dauphin Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Penn Manor Comets at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Central Dauphin is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

Central Dauphin is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Altoona 15-0 on Wednesday. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 11 runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Penn Manor fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Hempfield on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 13-9 to the Black Knights.

Zuzu Hardy made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-5. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played. Mia Skiadas was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Penn Manor's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-5. As for Central Dauphin, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Central Dauphin beat Penn Manor 4-0 when the teams last played back in March of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
