Basketball Recap: Cole Skates Past Harmony School of Excellence with Ease

Cole strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They claimed a resounding 69-14 win over the Harmony School of Excellence Hawks. Fans of the Cougars have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Cole's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayvin Ybarra, who went 7-for-10 to rack up 18 points and four steals. The contest was Ybarra's third in a row with at least 18 points. Nolan Richardson was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards.

Cole smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in six consecutive games dating back to last season.

Cole's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Harmony School of Excellence, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Cole didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-22 victory against Uvalde on the 20th. As for Harmony School of Excellence, they will square off against Cotulla at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
