Football Recap: Apalachee Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Apalachee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. The contest between the Wildcats and the Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs didn't end well, with the Wildcats falling 35-16. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldoggs from their previous meeting back in August of 2023.

Although Apalachee took the loss, they still got scores from Zach Bankston and Burke McGowan.

Demetrius Dowdy was his usual excellent self, rushing for 321 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.0 yards per carry for Winder-Barrow. Dowdy is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 101 every time he's taken the field this season.

Apalachee's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Winder-Barrow, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-3.
