Baseball Recap: John Glenn Comes Up Short

John Glenn had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 8-14 to make it four. They fell just short of the Crooksville Ceramics by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Muskies have suffered since April 9th.

Jensen Parry and Reid Howard did some serious damage despite the final result: Parry went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, while Howard earned two runs and two stolen bases. Kayden McDonald was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

As for Crooksville, they moved to 5-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since April 13th.

On Crooksville's side, Kyle Lane was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Eli Sprankle, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Looking ahead, John Glenn will square off against Cambridge at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Crooksville, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-1 win against Millersport on the 11th.
