Basketball Recap: Alpaugh Comes Up Short

Alpaugh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 57-29 defeat at the hands of the Farmersville Aztecs. The Buffalos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Aztecs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

Alpaugh lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Richard Luna, who posted six points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Uriel Perez, who earned five points and six rebounds.

Alpaugh's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Farmersville, with the win, they broke their nine-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-15.

Alpaugh has already played their next game, a 44-30 loss against Laton on the 24th. As for Farmersville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-35 victory against Wonderful College Prep Academy on the 24th.
