Basketball Recap: Marysville Beats Olentangy for Their Third Straight Win

Marysville waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They snuck past the Olentangy Braves with a 55-51 victory. This was a revenge game for the Monarchs: when they faced off against the Braves back in December of 2024, they had to take a 67-45 defeat.

Despite the loss, Olentangy still got an impressive performance from Jackson Mangham, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. Mangham is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ty Walburn, who posted ten points and six rebounds.

Marysville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.2 points per game. As for Olentangy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7.
