Volleyball Recap: Kouts Comes Up Short

Kouts saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the La Porte Slicers. The Mustangs & Fillies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kouts may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 17 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17.

Erin Stewart paced Kouts' offense, picking up six kills. Stewart were helped by Adeline Winters and Alyssa Twedt, who contributed six assists each.

Kouts now has a losing record of 2-3. As for La Porte, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Coincidentally, Kouts and La Porte will both be playing East Chicago Central the next time they take the court. The Mustangs & Fillies will head out to face the Cardinals at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Slicers will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
