Baseball Recap: Steward Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Steward, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Fredericksburg Christian Eagles by a score of 6-3 on Thursday. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Steward pushed their record up to 10-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Fredericksburg Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14-1 record this season.

Steward will challenge Peninsula Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Fredericksburg Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
