Softball Recap: Mitchell Mustangs vs. Largo Packers

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mitchell had no problem doing just that on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Largo Packers a 6-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mitchell also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2015.

MacKenzie Tucker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only one hit while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Tucker was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Audrey Midyett, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, a triple, and a double. Raigan Silliman was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing three bases.
