Basketball Recap: Gautier Takes a Loss

Gautier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 68-30 loss at the hands of the Pass Christian Pirates. If the Gators were looking for revenge after losing 70-35 to the Pirates when the teams met back in November of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Evan Smith and Ayden Isom certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Smith posted nine points, while Isom put up ten points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Gautier's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Pass Christian, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Gautier didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-45 loss against St. Martin on the 8th. As for Pass Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 66-60 defeat against Biloxi on the 8th.
