Volleyball Recap: East Peoria Comes Up Short

East Peoria lost against Dunlap back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Raiders fell 2-0 to the Eagles.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-8.

Dunlap's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caroline Holmes led the charge by getting 12 assists and four aces. Holmes has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more assists the last three times she's played. Lydia Rogers was another key player, getting seven digs and two aces.

East Peoria's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Dunlap, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

East Peoria will challenge Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dunlap, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Canton on the 17th.
