Softball Recap: West Wendover Comes Up Short

West Wendover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 22-4 to the Pershing County Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 28-7 on Friday.

West Wendover saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paola Rojas, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI. Hadley Hillstead also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

West Wendover's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Pershing County, their victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pershing County beat West Wendover by a score of 19-2 on Saturday.
