Softball Recap: Monticello Takes a Loss

Monticello lost against Becker back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Magic fell 4-1 to the Bulldogs.

Josi Ordorff put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Becker, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Monticello will square off against rival Big Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Becker is set to challenge their familiar foe Zimmerman at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
