Basketball Game Preview: Manchester Panthers vs. Norwayne Bobcats

The Manchester Panthers and the Norwayne Bobcats will compete for holiday cheer at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Manchester was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Waynedale on Friday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 65-44 margin over the Golden Bears. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Golden Bears: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Norwayne over Northwestern in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Bobcats blew the Huskies out of the water with a 63-30 final score. That 33 point margin sets a new team best for the Bobcats this season.

Norwayne now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Manchester, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Manchester was taken down by Norwayne 80-45 in their previous meeting back in November of 2020. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Panthers were down 44-19.
