The Wilmot Panthers will square off against the Lakes Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Wilmot has given up an average of 11.5 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Wilmot is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Union Grove on Tuesday. They lost 26-1 to the Broncos.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous four contest, Lakes brought some dynamite into their most recent game. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Round Lake a 12-0 shutout on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Eryn Oleson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Lakes got a massive performance out of Liv Tautges, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Tautges has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Camy Lowery, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.
Lakes kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matchups.
Wilmot's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Lakes, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
