Basketball Preview: Maple Heights Mustangs vs. Garfield Heights Bulldogs
Maple Heights has been on the road for two straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Garfield Heights Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
After soaring to 57 points the game before, Maple Heights were a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They took a serious blow against Twinsburg, falling 55-20. While losing is never fun, Maple Heights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 519th, while the Tigers are ranked 247th).
Maple Heights' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Treasure Cistrunk, who scored seven points, and Robyn Hardwick who scored two points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Garfield Heights had to suffer through a rough 68-5 loss at the hands of the Tigers. Garfield Heights was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-3.
