Softball Game Preview: Hardeeville Hurricanes vs. Hampton County Hurricanes

Hardeeville are taking a road trip to square off against Hampton County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hardeeville has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 26.

Hardeeville couldn't beat Hilton Head Prep on Saturday even though they stacked six runs on them in the third inning. The Hurricanes lost 25-6 to the Dolphins.

Jadyn Brown made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Talaya Cunningham, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Hampton County and Barnwell had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Hurricanes came up short against the Warhorses back in March, falling 25-3.

Hardeeville's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Hampton County, the defeat was their first at home, dropping their record down to 3-3.

Hardeeville might still be hurting after the 24-0 loss they got from Hampton County in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Can Hardeeville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
