Soccer Game Preview: Nimitz vs. MacArthur

The Nimitz Vikings will venture away from home to challenge the MacArthur Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Nimitz's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Nimitz fell victim to Dallas Jesuit and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Rangers, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 469th, while the Rangers are ranked 37th).

Meanwhile, MacArthur has been on a difficult stretch since their win on January 4. They and Richardson finished up their match with a 3-3 draw on Tuesday.

MacArthur's draw gives them a new season record of 2-9-2. As for Nimitz, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-2.
