Recap: Newfane Panthers vs. Lewiston-Porter Lancers
The Newfane Panthers took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 60-41 win over Lewiston-Porter. For Newfane, this counts as revenge for the 72-62 defeat Lewiston-Porter walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Ben Dickinson was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Another player making a difference was Nate Snow, who scored 10 points.
Newfane's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Lewiston-Porter, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Newfane will be playing in front of their home fans against Lewis J. Bennett at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lewiston-Porter will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Grand Island at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th.
