Holy Cross is 9-1 against St. Edmund Prep since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Knights will square off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Holy Cross and 14 for St. Edmund Prep.

Holy Cross fell victim to Archbishop Molloy and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Stanners, falling 10-0.

St. Anthony's hit St. Edmund Prep with a 11-run third inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles lost 14-2 to the Friars.

Holy Cross' loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for St. Edmund Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14-1.

Holy Cross was able to grind out a solid victory over St. Edmund Prep when the teams last played back in April, winning 5-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
