Basketball Recap: Midland Comes Up Short

After flying high against South Beauregard last Tuesday, Midland came back down to earth. The Midland Rebels were dealt an 80-50 defeat at the hands of the Westlake Rams on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Rams: they've now lost four in a row.

Midland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Westlake, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Midland has already played their next match, a 75-49 victory against Bell City on the 13th. As for Westlake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 74-66 loss against Lacassine on the 14th.
