Recap: Central City Value Jaguars vs. Aspire Ollin Jaguars
The Central City Value Jaguars suffered their biggest loss since December 6, 2023 on Friday. They were dealt a 68-39 loss at the hands of Aspire Ollin. Central City Value was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Aspire Ollin apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Angel Marcial and Leonel Chavez certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Marcial scored 27 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Chavez scored three points along with ten rebounds and two blocks. That was a full 69.2% of Central City Value's points, marking the 11th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Central City Value has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Aspire Ollin, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central City Value will face off against Downtown Magnets at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Downtown Magnets focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday. As for Aspire Ollin, they will head out on the road to challenge Animo Bunche at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Animo Bunche is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
